On 23rd Feb 2024, Women in Tech @ NUS Computing, together with StartIT, organised an Industry Deepdive focusing on Entrepreneurship. This event aimed to introduce NUS students to the world of entrepreneurship through discussions with experienced female entrepreneurs. It provided a platform for learning and conversation beyond the usual classroom experience.
The Entrepreneurship Deepdive, themed “From Ideas to Reality,” brought together students and professionals for a series of fireside chats. These sessions offered a unique glimpse into the entrepreneurial journey, highlighting the experiences, challenges, and achievements of women who have made significant strides in their fields.
Participants heard firsthand from three leading female entrepreneurs who shared their insights and experiences, helping to demystify the path to successful business ventures. Sulfya Lim, co-founder of Tech Up Group (STEM Edtech), Serene Lim, co-founder of vibefam (Wellness & Fitness Software), and Guan Dian, co-founder and APAC General Manager of PatSnap (Intellectual Property Analytics) shared their unique journeys and the lessons they've learned along the way.
These discussions were not just informative but also inspirational, offering participants a rare opportunity to learn from those who have navigated the entrepreneurial path with success. We are so grateful to have been able to hear from such accomplished speakers, who took time out from their busy schedules for this event.
